Presentation of cheque to Fife Society for the Blind

Fife (19 February 2010) -- Project staff from ExxonMobil Chemical's Fife Ethylene Plant at Mossmorran have donated £650 to Fife Society for the Blind in Glenrothes.

The money was raised through one of the company's charity safety incentive schemes, which are designed to encourage employees and contractors to work safely. The donation was made on behalf of the team by Jon Gregory, FEP project manager at Fife.

Jon, who organised the presentation, said: "The team is committed to ensuring Nobody Gets Hurt and by doing so we are able to generate money for worthy causes. We appreciate representatives of Fife Society for the Blind taking time out to talk to us about their organisation and the excellent work that they do.

Bessy Shaw of the Fife Society for the Blind, said: "I would like to say a big thank you to all the staff and workers of ExxonMobil and wish them a continued safe operation."
