What’s in our Synergy regular diesel
Our fuel engineers spend hours and hours testing different ingredients and formulas, because they know the smallest change can make a difference. Like the molecules in our regular Synergy diesel that have been specially designed to help clean vital parts of your engine (like your car’s fuel injectors) and help look after your engine. You may have heard that nasty engine deposits can build up in your engine over time which prevent your car from performing at its best and can reduce your fuel economy. In fact, when we tested Synergy diesel on everyday cars it helped improve fuel economy by an average of 1.8%.*
What’s in our Synergy Supreme+ premium diesel
The extra detergent that we add to our Synergy Supreme+ Diesel gives it a much higher cleaning power compared to our regular diesel and is designed to give you more power and fuel economy.**
Learn about 5 key ingredients that are added to our Synergy diesels
Fuel Detergent No. 1
This ingredient does the dirty work, helping to scrub away deposits and protect your engine from build-up, which over time can affect performance.
Fuel Detergent No. 2
But you said, no, that's not clean enough! Enter Fuel Detergent number 2, this ingredient goes the extra mile, scouring nooks and crannies to wash away even the toughest gunk.
Changes in temperature can cause some ingredients in your fuel to get jammed. Solvent Fluid helps break them up, preventing congealing and letting the good times flow.
Did you know fuel can get out of shape? The Demulsifier works hard to help prevent fuel from holding onto excess water, which can wreak havoc in the distribution system.
Diesel fuels can develop foam during refueling, which increases the time you spend at the station. Our anti-foaming agent helps prevent your fuel from foaming up and gives you a seamless fueling experience.
What is the difference between regular and premium diesel?
Our Synergy Supreme+ Diesel has double the amount of detergent additive than our regular diesel, which helps give your engine a deeper clean. And the cleaner your engine, the more power you’ll get and the more responsive it will be.
Our Synergy Supreme+ Diesel is designed to remove more of the nasty deposits in your engine, which helps to look after your engine and give you increased fuel economy.**
Here are some handy driving tips
Keep your boot and back seats clear of loads you don’t need. Carrying around tools or sport bags full of gear and equipment can make your car heavier. This, in turn, makes the engine work harder and uses more fuel.
It is good to get into the habit of changing up to a higher gear as soon as you can. Higher gears are more economical in terms of fuel consumption.***
Drive smoothly and at a reasonable speed whenever possible – driving at high speeds may use more fuel than driving at slower speeds. Remember, if you accelerate or brake suddenly it is likely that your engine will use up more fuel and produce more CO₂.
Anticipate the flow of traffic as far ahead of you as possible to help you avoid unnecessary stopping and starting. This will help you to drive more smoothly.
A shared journey means one less car on the road. This could help to reduce traffic congestion.
